ONEHOPE III California Reds Review and Tasting Notes:
Today’s review is going to be different on two major fronts.
The first front is that usually we review and taste wines that are truly expensive, and this one is fairly cheap, the second one is that we’re reviewing a pack of fine red wines instead of one individual one.
We do this because this set topped the charts for the most wished wine in Amazon, and we had to see what the fuss was about.
So, if that number did pique your interest as well, read below.
ONEHOPE Cabernet Sauvignon Review and Tasting Notes:
ONEHOPE Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted expertly from a mixture of grapes from several different vineyards in the renowned Nappa Valley, California’s Central Coast, and Sonoma Country in partnership with Rob Mondavi Jr.
The dark, ruby red Cabernet Sauvignon is a delight for the senses with the aromas of cassis, lush black cherry and a hint of tobacco.
Aged in French and American oak, soft tannins balance its elaborate layers of spice making it the best wine to drink with grilled and roasted meat, like prime rib, lamb, or porterhouse steak.
Three Word Taste Overview: cassis, cherry, tobacco
Varietal/Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon
2013 ONEHOPE Pinot Noir Review and Tasting Notes:
Rob Mondavi Jr. hand crafted this Pinot Noir from select vineyards throughout Napa, Sonoma, and the Central Coast. By letting an extended ripening period our, California Pinot Noir showcases the delicacy of the grape.
This will ensure an attractive underlying intensity of date and strawberry flavors and a mellow strategy. Aged out a finish that was spiced yet exuberant and the mouthfeel by introducing tannin structure.
Three Word Flavor Overview: tannic, strawberry, spice
Varietal/Blend: Pinot Noir
2013 ONEHOPE California Merlot Review and Tasting Notes:
ONEHOPE California Merlot is a unique drinkable wine made with Rob Mondavi Jr. as a partner from yet more vineyards from the regions mentioned above.
Subtle notes of toasty spice and its vibrant cherry color are due to age in both French and American Oak barrels. The aftertaste and the rich tannic aroma makes ONEHOPE Merlot a perfect match with a variety of main courses including meats, pasta, and vegetarian dishes.
Three Word Taste Outline: toasty, cherry, oak
