2013 Alpha Omega Cabernet Sauvignon Review: Our Wine Tasting Notes!
This wine has big meaty notes of bacon and beef jerky, showcasing tight tannins and mixed herbs. Give this one lot of time to breathe as it is pretty dense.
All in all, this is an excellent wine. Dark purple-ruby color, lighter at the border. Exceptional and quite rich aroma with wonderful java ground, dark chocolate, and well-yielded fruit. A distinct flavor in the mouth, chewy, rich, chunky, fruity, quite fine and smooth with a big plump fruit feel to it.
Extended finish that keeps you tasting the dense and yet pleasant mix
A very young wine that is already showing its charms.
Producer’s Notes: Alpha Omega 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Review!
2013 was an epic Napa vintage. The rain had been limited by us some heat. This is what made us really strive in protecting the fruit from sun exposure through canopy management and, of course, proper irrigation. The wines in 2013, especially the reds, are voluptuous and ripe. We reached sugar ripeness instantly, because it was a hot year in Napa Valley. However, we needed to give the tannins enough time to ripen. We were able to pick the grapes at the optimum time, which gave us the ability to produce concentrated tannins and exquisite aromas in our wines.
